A research master's in business for experienced professionals: two research methods modules and a dissertation.

You earn the degree through three research modules only. You learn to design and run a study, then write a dissertation in the business area you choose, from analytics, strategy and marketing to finance, leadership and operations. Learning is built on discussion and debate with other professionals. It suits experienced managers, typically aged 26 to 45.

The programme is offered and assessed by GlobalNxt University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Teaching staff are a team of ADVEX faculty appointed by the university, and ADVEX Management School is the university's Local Access Point (LAP) Partner in Thailand.

How you study

• HyFlex attendance: Each week you choose how you attend: on site at ADVEX in Bangkok, live online, or in your own time on GlobalNxt University's online platform. Course materials and the eLibrary are open at all hours.
• Learning from practice: Case studies, discussion and projects drawn from working life, with a cohort from across Thailand and beyond.
• Teaching team: Teaching staff are a team of ADVEX faculty appointed by GlobalNxt University.
• Support from ADVEX: As the Local Access Point (LAP) Partner of GlobalNxt University in Thailand, ADVEX handles enquiries, applications, registration and academic coordination, with learner support in the Thai time zone, in Thai or English.
• Language: Taught and assessed in English, with academic advice available in Thai.

Entry requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a related field with a CGPA of at least 2.75, or
• A bachelor's degree in a related field with a CGPA of 2.50 to 2.74, after an internal assessment, or
• A bachelor's degree in a related field with a CGPA of 2.00 to 2.49, at least five years of work experience and an internal assessment, or
• A bachelor's degree in another field with a CGPA of at least 2.00 and relevant work experience, after an internal assessment; without relevant experience, after passing prerequisite courses, or
• Another qualification recognised by the Government of Malaysia as equivalent to a bachelor's degree
• The internal assessment may use a statement of purpose or an interview, and looks at management experience, career achievements and professional skills
• Applicants whose first language is not English, and who have not studied at university level in English, must show evidence of English proficiency.
