ADVEX Research Support Center for Management Studies

ADVEX, the Advanced Executive Management Institute, coordinates and supports doctoral research. It provides expert guidance and supplemental instruction for research-based programs, including the Doctor of Education (Ed.D) and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Technology. ADVEX’s faculty members specialize in these fields and are dedicated to helping researchers achieve academic and professional excellence.

The faculties are officially appointed by partner universities through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as a research support hub, ensuring students receive comprehensive assistance throughout their doctoral journey. This collaboration underscores ADVEX’s commitment to fostering high-quality research and academic growth.

Doctor of Education

The Doctor of Education (Ed.D) program offered by the University of Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) is delivered entirely online through a 100% distance learning mode, providing flexibility for working professionals and international learners. Students benefit from full academic and research support provided jointly by UGM and ADVEX Management School.

The program offers two specialized pathways:

Instructional Technology

A HyFlex Learning Approach is implemented, combining self-paced online learning with scheduled live sessions and interactive academic engagement. This model allows students to manage their studies flexibly while remaining actively connected to instructors and peers.

All Doctor of Education candidates receive dedicated research mentorship from the UGM experienced academic team and the ADVEX Student Service Team. This includes guidance in identifying research topics, crafting suitable methodologies, and preparing publications for academic journals. With close supervision and tailored support, learners are empowered to successfully complete their doctoral journey and make meaningful contributions to the field of education.

PhD in Management

PhD in Information Technology

The PhD in Management and PhD in Information Technology at the University of Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) is a rigorous and research-driven doctoral program designed to cultivate advanced expertise in business, leadership, and strategic management. The program is ideal for professionals, academics, and researchers who aspire to make meaningful contributions to the field of management through original research and scholarly inquiry.

This program follows a research-based structure, requiring students to complete only two foundational coursework modules at the beginning of their journey:

Research Methodology
Academic Writing

These modules equip candidates with essential research skills and academic writing competence, preparing them for the program's core phase, the doctoral research dissertation.

The dissertation process is at the heart of the PhD experience, offering a robust yet enjoyable academic journey guided by experienced supervisors. Learners are supported throughout every stage of their research, from identifying impactful topics, refining theoretical frameworks, and designing research methodologies, to collecting data, conducting analysis, and publishing scholarly work.
